The History of Cheltenham Wing Chun Kuen (CWCK)
Having trained under the personal tuition of Sifu Rawcliffe for over 12 years, Sifu's Woodward and Akroyd-Jones have attained a high degree of skill within Wing Chun and maintain a very close relationship with their teacher. They train privately with Sifu Rawcliffe whenever their busy schedules allow, host seminars by Master Ip Chun and visit him in Hong Kong whenever possible. The Beginning
The instructors of the Cheltenham Wing Chun Kuen were already trained in the art of Wing Chun before they met Sifu Rawcliffe and Si Kung Ip Chun at the beginning of 1993. They oversaw a small body of students who had decided to stay with them when they became disillusioned with their then current teacher. They were renting out a very small room in a youth centre which they called their base. The primary concerns of both Sifu's Woodward and Akroyd-Jones were towards their training and the gaining of knowledge within the system, and although they had a grounding before they met Sifu Rawcliffe they found that what they did know was only a scratch on the surface.
